Pioneered 20 years ago, this winter retreat is designed for you to experience a warmly personal and communal space and time to "breakaway" from it all. Northern MN is the perfect place to absorb the elements that invite you to continue writing your story with God's story.
This winter we will explore the power of ONE. ONE Mission, ONE God, ONE people. Choose from a variety of electives to grow in journey through life and faith.
The ripple effect caused by a single drop is a common image of how one thing can change everything. It's happened before in your life when that one person or one experience left its mark for better or for worse. We should never underestimate the power of one. You're invited to explore the power of ONE... for you and through you.

| Saturday Elective | Description |
|---|---|
| The Message of Jesus | Jesus is probably the most fascinating man who has walked the earth. He was a person of deep conviction and compassion who turned the world upside down. If you have not taken a serious look before - come learn more about this man and take a new look at an old story - the BEST story. |
| "Sold Out...To What?" | I say I'm a Christian...now what does that mean? Come explore the core of Christianity and what it looks like to be sold out to Jesus and the Gospel. Grow in a confidence of knowing what you believe, why you believe it and how to tell others about it. |
| Spiritual Gifts | Did you know that if you are a Jesus follower you have been given spiritual gifts? But how many of us know our gifts? Would you like to be a leader who serves out of your gifts? Join us as we study what the Bible has to say about the gifts, investigate your own gifts and learn ways to apply them as you make a difference on your campus. |
| Transform the Dorm | Jesus calls us to love our neighbors. When you live in the dorms - wow! You have neighbors! Some who... Do you want to love your neighbors more radically? Join us as we discuss how we can partner with Jesus in transforming your dorm. |
| Receiving Life | "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" - Jesus. Many of us are burdened by things like pain, bitterness, grief, guilt, unforgiveness, and addictions. If you are in that place, know that freedom is available through Jesus Christ. Our time will create space for you to meet with Jesus and begin a journey of healing, forgiveness, restoration, and even a call to minister to others... to find full life through Christ. |
| The Mysteries of God's will | Bring your Magic 8-Ball, Secret Decoder Ring and Headlamp as we seek to uncover the mysteries of your future and purpose. To know God's will, we must go Spelunking through the cavernous heart of God. We will explore Destiny, Opportunity and the belief that the blessing of hope overshadows the curse of insecurity. |
| Jesus and Outsiders | Do you see people around you that are shunned by Christians - maybe called outsiders because of their lifestyle choices or actions? We will be looking at how Jesus views them and invites us to "make roomâ" for them in our lives - to love them the way that He does. Come and dare to be challenged to make a difference on your campus with "outsiders." |
| Fire and Consuming Passion for the Campus: Missional Prayer | Prayer is how we ask God to open strategic doors of witness and transformation on our campuses, across the world and even in our own personal mission field. But how do we break out of traditional prayer models and methods? How do we invite others to be part of the transformational process? How do we spark transformation in order to become a raging furnace of passion for God on campus? Become a fire starter on your campus and let the fire rage from within! |
| Sunday Elective | Description |
|---|---|
| Unplugged and Listening | It's not easy to create space to give attention to our soul, is it? But we need to stay in tune with the workings of our soul and God's presence in our lives. In this elective you are invited to unplug and spend an extended time in God's presence to listen and be attentive to God's work in your life. You will be guided into a time of silence, prayer and listening as we open ourselves to God. |
| Beyond Popular Justice | There must be more to the Christian life than giving, recycling and volunteering. Jesus' mission was to bring freedom and healing to the oppressed and broken. Come explore and join the mission of continuing Jesus' work of healing and justice on your campus. |
| Apologetics: responding to hard questions | When your friends ask questions about the existence of God, the exclusivity of Jesus, the problem of pain and suffering, or the historical reliability of the Bible, how do you respond? We'll dive into a few of these issues and suggest an overall strategy for dialog that you can bring back to campus. |
| Connecting with God | Many of us struggle to connect with God...yet it is a longing deep inside of us. We want more than just some facts about God and a to do list of expectations. We want true encounter. Come discuss keys to unlocking a deeper relationship with God, and then spend time experiencing some of them. Whether you are hungry for more of God or just wish you were, join us to learn more about connecting with our amazing Maker. |
